Software Developer

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Software Developer with 3+ years of experience to research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs for our expanding workforce at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, CA. Salary

The typical annual salary range for this position is $110,000 USD to $133,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

• Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and enhance software applications using Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
• Analyze user needs and translate requirements into technical specifications and solutions, applying principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
• Collaborate with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop performance requirements
• Maintain databases within application areas, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team
• Provide systems/software engineering services, ensuring applications meet performance, integration, interoperability, and security requirements
• Conduct software peer reviews based on approved requirements and participate in test planning, execution, and reporting
• Document software development processes and submit comprehensive documentation to repositories
• Identify anomalies during testing and recommend appropriate solutions
• Support process improvement activities by providing feedback on systems, tools, and procedures to promote consistency across processes
• Work independently on complex tasks while collaborating effectively within team environments

• Three to ten years of experience as defined in the Functional Description.

EDUCATION

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a technical equivalent.

Allowable Substitution: Four years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. An Associate degree plus two years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

CLEARANCE

Condition of Employment:  Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. The applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
