Software Developer Web Application Journeyman

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking qualified Full Stack Web Developers for our expanding workforce supporting current and evolving Multi-Spectral Defense Electronic Warfare System Support Activity systems, at Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo,CA.

Salary

$75,000.00 USD to $130,000.00 USD is the typical annual salary range for this position. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

• Develop, create, and modify web applications or specialized utility programs
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
• Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
• May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team
• May supervise computer programmers
• Working at the customer's site with government personnel to ensure program success

Between 3 and 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the job description and responsibilities.

• 3 years’ experience with SQL
• 3 years’ experience with Java/C#
• 2 years’ experience with JavaScript
• 2 years’ experience with HTML and CSS
• 2 years’ experience with Agile Development
• 2 years’ experience with Git
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
• Ability to work independently, self-starter
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Desired experience:

• AMQP(RabbitMQ)

• ASP.NET Core / Visual Studio
• Docker, Kubernetes, terraform
• Cloud services, Amazon Web Services (AWS) / Azure
• Comfortable with Linux and the command line
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent
• Experience with Scaled Agile
• Java with Spring or Java EE
• Microservices
• ORM such as Hibernate or Entity Framework (EF)
• RESTful web API’s
• SPA, ReactJS/Redux
• WebSocket

Education:

• BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline
• ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant Associate’s Degree

Clearance:

• Condition of employment - must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a T3 security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for acquiring and maintaining a DoD Secret security clearance.
