Development Operations (DevOps) Software Engineer Journeyman

Brandes Associates Inc. (BAI), a Defense contractor, seeks a Development Operations (DevOps) Software Engineers with 2+ years of experience years experience for classified programs, working onsite at Point Mugu Naval Air Station in Camarillo, CA.

Salary

$130,000 USD to $160,000.00 USD is the typical annual salary range for this position. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

• Develop and maintain code that implements continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Ensure the CI/CD infrastructure performs automated tasks such as, code analysis, code quality, code reliability assurance, compilation, testing, reporting, and packaging of our software products
• Implement software for quality, robustness, and scale
• Create and maintain automated deployment scripts
• Collaborate with internal and external software teams for requirements and process improvement
• Participate in a Scrum/Agile development process
• Work independently or with minimal guidance when standing up or maintaining a CI/CD pipeline
• Working at the customer's site with government personnel to ensure program success

Functional Full Stack Java Developer Description:

• Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
• Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
• May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team

Knowledge / Experience

• 2+ years of DevOps experience required
• 2+ years of experience in a Linux experience required
• 2+ years of deploying software to a web server environment required
• 2+ years of CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance required
• 1+ years of Jenkins experience is a plus
• 1+ years of Groovy experience is a plus
• 1+ years of Terraform experience is a plus
• 1+ years of Helm chart experience is a plus
• 1+ years of experience deploying software in Kubernetes is a plus
• Knowledge- of DoD Risk Management Framework is a plus
• Knowledge in HTTP, DNS, and FTP network protocols
• Web development experience is a plus
• 2 years’ experience with Java/C#
• 2 years’ experience with JavaScript
• 2 years’ experience with Agile Development
• 2 years’ experience with Git
• 2 years’ experience with Linux

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree required.

Security Clearance
